Soundarya Rajnikanth's animated film, Sultan the Warrior, is to be released worldwide in April 2009. The second most ex-pensive Indian film ever made, it features AR Rahman's music. Soundarya makes a guest appearance in a song sequence in the forthcoming film Kuselan.
Three major audio launches took place in Kodambakkam last week. The biggest was the star-studded event for Sakkarakatti, which marks the adult debut of Saandhanu, son of actor, writer, director, producer and composer K Bhagyaraj, opposite debutante actress Ishita. Among the dignitaries were K Balachander, Bharathiraja, Vikraman, KS Ravikumar, Dharini, Rama Narayanan, Ameer, SA Chandh-rasegaran, M Raja, SP Muthuraman, Soundarya Rajnikanth and Saan- dhanu's parents, Bhagyaraj and Poornima. The film is being produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu and marks the debut of his son, Kalaa Prabhu, as a director. It is aimed at the youth and features a vibrant soundtrack by AR Rahman and computer graphics by Soundarya Rajnikanth.
