Movie of the week: 'Slumdog Millionaire' Buzz up! Like this story? Share it with Yahoo! Buzz The two words I've heard repeatedly this week don't even sound like they go together, but soon the awkwardness will wear off. If the buzz from the Telluride Film Festival is any indication,Slumdog Millionaire is on its way to becoming a major hit. The film, directed by Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later), follows a Indian kid who is suspected of cheating on the Hindi version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. Variety called it "exhilarating (and) madly entertaining," while the L.A. Times said "the response inside the sold-out theater could not have been much more enthusiastic." The New York Observer is already declaring it "2008's Juno," even though I'm pretty sure pregnant teens and indie rock don't fit into the mix. Fox Searchlight has acquired the rights to the flick, and a websiteoffers some links and one brief clip. The film arrives in theaters Nov. 28. I'll be on the lookout for any more buzz before then.
