Yesterday, on Zee SaReGaMaPa, Aamir Khan was the guest and the singers sang a lot of songs from his movies, many from ARR's repertoir. After the Rangeela song, Shankar was the only one who took a pause and said, "hey guys, let's hear it for AR Rahman the composer" or something like that. Thought it was a very sporty, classy, and spirited comment by him.
I have the utmost respect for Shankar and SEL. I wish ARR and Shankar would work again together someday. Shankar is a very cool, down to earth, humble, classy, very intelligent, very talented singer and composer and appears to have no major hang ups and no ego.
