I agree with you. I had the opportunity to hear him in IIM - Bangalore and yea  
he is absolutely down to earth and humble. He sure did have a huge fan 
following  - all tiny tots going after him for his autograph and a chance to be 
photographed with him. ----reminded me of  Pied Piper of Hamelin .....with all 
the kids following him . :)

            Yesterday, on Zee SaReGaMaPa, Aamir Khan was the guest and the 
singers

sang a lot of songs from his movies, many from ARR's repertoir.  After

the Rangeela song, Shankar was the only one who took a pause and said,

"hey guys, let's hear it for AR Rahman the composer" or something like

that.  Thought it was a very sporty, classy, and spirited comment by him.



I have the utmost respect for Shankar and SEL.  I wish ARR and Shankar

would work again together someday.  Shankar is a very cool, down to

earth, humble, classy, very intelligent, very talented singer and
