1) Chan Chan, Piya Ho, Naina Neer.....from Water. What an amazing trio of songs from one of the finest albums by Rahman. So beautifully haunting and melodious, as Only ARR can create. The orchestration in Chan Chan is just out of this world........simply mindblowing.
2) Sarfarosh Ki Tamanna from LOBS. One of the most beautifully haunting semi classical pieces by Rahman sung extremely well by Sonu. It's one of my all time favorite ARR-Sonu songs. This song just blows me away each time and check out the ending when the fast rhythmic strings come in........WOW! The whole song picks up and evolves so beautifully....... 3) Kanna Muchi from Kandukonden........one of the most beautifully haunting melodies ever by Rahman and this is as close to a perfect song as you can get. What a beautifully amazing purely Carnatic piece. To me, one of ARR's best songs ever and I will never get bored of it. It's so delicate, sweet, and just love the ornate, ethnic instrumentation with incredible singing and emotions. This song is just a pure anti-depressant.
