Quoted: "In a rare conversation from the U.S., he says, “Yes, it is a matter of pride for the Indian film fraternity. It has put Indian film music on the international scene and Rahman deserves a lot of credit. But it does not signify that Rahman is the greatest composer for films in India.” -- I think that is a reasonable statement. ARR himself wouldn't ever call him the greatest composer. He is humble enough. But, nobody has declared ARR greatest composer for films in India. Then, whom is Ustad ji contradicting or confronting or correcting? So, even though there seems nothing wrong on surface on the above comments, there is some deep underlying resentment that caused the statements to come out in the first place. Millions of people keep on saying billions of statements and carrying billions of thoughts, but we don't bother to give statements on each of them. But, we do give our views only on those few of those statements, that, our heart feels, could be correct. Let's leave the analysis at this juncture. -- Rawat ------------------------------------ Are you searching for a reason, to be kind? <b> Explore, Experience, Enjoy A.R.Rahman - The Man, The Music, The Magic.
