Ilayathalapathy Vijay's successful Tamil flick
Azhagiya Tamizh Magan (2007), directed by Bharathan with Shriya Saran
as heroine, will be remade in Telugu jointly by producers Addala
Venkatrao and S. Jameela under the banner of Lakshmi Venkateswara
Productions. While more details about the Telugu version are yet to
be announced, we hear that the new version will be presented by popular
singer Mano.

Azhagiya Tamizh Magan revolves around
Gurumoorthy (Vijay), an athlete and business management student, who
meets Abhinaya (Shriya Saran), daughter of a business baron (Ashish
Vidyarthi) and falls in love with her.

While the movie goes on
to show how the lovers manage to get the permission of their parents,
the story takes a different turn when Gurumoorthy realizes that he has
an ability to predict future events. A psychiatrist (Dr. Rudran)
confirms that it is Extra Sensory Perception. With his new ability, he
identifies several future events, including an attempt to murder his
lover by someone who looks just like him. What happens next forms the
rest of the film.
