They are based on different themes — celebration, success and inspiration. And the best part is that each song in the album is penned by a different lyricist,” begins Amish Kumar, the creative head of the album. “We decided to write the lyrics in Tamil as it would then appeal to a larger audience. After sixty years of independence, Thamizha Oscar Thamizha has a different approach to patriotism, that’s blended with the celebration at this year’s Oscars,” says Ponmurugesan, one of the lyricists of the album.
