Sorry for the lengthy 'non-arr' mail... I don't know how many of you know abt her, but I really felt like sharing this here so that those who don't know about her should get to know & hear this amazing artist! I also found quiet a few similarities between her & AR's musical styles! Just like AR, she is quiet a innovator in using different instruments & sounds & mixing various genres. She owns a very unique & emotive voice. She is a whiz in using technology & I personally found her songs & music very personal, emotional, rich, elegant, complex, catchy, crisp, rocking, melodious, fresh, haunting, beautiful etc etc... all those very things which we've been saying abt AR's music for years n years...
So here I go... A month ago, while watching one Heroes episode, I heard something very interesting & quiet catchy, which they used as a BGM, & I had to find out what it was & who was responsible for it!! After some googling, I found out that the song is called Bad Body Double & it's by someone named Imogen Heap! What strange name I though! But when I found out more about her & listened to some more of her music, I immediately became a fan! She is one amazingly talented lady I must say! & quiet a weirdo too! She sings, she composes, she writes her own lyrics, she plays all kind of musical instruments & by combining all that, she records almost all her songs by herself, in her own little studio! The way she uses herunique voice with various instruments & sounds is simply brilliant & the outcome is very very addictive!
