Personally I felt
The movie isnt a disaster at all as written by reviewers unless you watch with
the perception or the category one has to belong to that of the reviewers who
dont like.
I read in a post claiming Mani as a foolish, No he isnt. Its easy to say
somebody a fool, but what is difficult is to do even the little what one has
achieved. Only a fool can judge the other as a fool. And it takes an equal
capability to agree the genius in somebody.
Mani has a same problem with almost all his movies in which he takes long time
to describe the entire plot unlike Shankar who is perfect fit for masala
techniques.
Here Mani's perception as I would think was to look closely at the person who
appear good and bad in the eyes of a general society. Observing closely can
change the views. There is a good in bad person and there is a bad in the good.
With this itself Mani complicates and the slow pace in the start has put him in
bad situation as like what has happened now.
I liked the movie for the spectacular visuals which the normal eyes could have
missed. Somewhere deep in my heart I believe in the perception of mani could
have had of goodness in bad man & the vice versa.
We have seen ppl who have contemplated even Raamayan just because of their
perception and raavn the movie can have no discount either.
A reviewer himself is a human and it depends on his taste, views. Go watch the
movie if you have time and money to spare. There movies such as Dhoom,
Mohabbatein, which were liked by ppl and have bcome hits if that can be like
raavan is far better than those according to me just because of my personal
likings.
