One has to understand that Endiran isn't a movie like Hollywood sci-fi movies.
Its done with Indian audience perspective in mind.
Do you think calling Endhiran music as music for kids is anything less than
glorified bashing? What is your opinion for a person who wrote a review which
was worst than ever.
Now lets come to the point when somebody writes a harsh review on music and
calls it as his expression of opinion and then gets harsh feedback as "opinion"
on his writing? why does somebody have to take the shelter of claiming no
rights for expression? The person who writes the opinion should be ready to
take opinion of others when expressed.
Why does the reviewer not like the review for his writing or cant welcome, why
should that he consider that as a criticism?
And coming to Hollywood scores I can still listen to the older sound formats
even by the legendary composers for Sci-Fi sometimes I hear repeated sound
itself. And as a person working in music we are required to do this because we
have to make people imagine the scene with the obvious sound. If I am given a
liberty to score what ever I want I just cant use elephant trumpet kind of
sound or Goat sound for the scene where a Robot walks and mix it in the name of
creativity & experimentation no matter how influential as a composer or
arranger one would have been.
I dont remember any songs for Robot / Sci-fi movie done by Hollywood artists
for a movie score unless its an independent sound track done by various artists
and then included as original soundtrack. The case of Endhiran unfortunately
isn't the one like how Sci-Fi movies are done in Hollywood. Here songs are the
part of the movie and the supposed Robot is Rajni.
Its easy to write opinion because the one who does that would never have
experienced the pain and never would have undergone the limitation, influence,
pressure of what its felt to deliver the product. Always remember an artist is
also a human like us, paying a petty amount for the movie or for its sound
track doesn't authorize us to treat them like servants.
We who have "bash"ed the opinions have never bashed the opinion but the way it
was expressed. And every mail from such bashers says the same thing. We dont
bother whether one likes or dislikes the song, instead we write when somebody
has used derogatory expressions.
I dont wish to argue more.
