Title: BFS Strong Password 2.5.1 - Errors when setting up software
**

Okay,  I have not received many responses but I have narrowed down the $Process$ that might be giving me the error ARERR [341] Cannot run the requested process

This says:  Run Process on My local work station, “-d”  provides the location indication and $Clear Password$ is the path.  I am supposed to running an md5.exe.  Should the exe be on the server instead?

This is how the set field is set up in the active link.:

$PROCESS$ "C:\Program Files\AR System\md5.exe" -d"$Clear Password$"

To all,

I love the strong password workflow, real good stuff, I am having the same problem as peter back in Oct 2005 and was wondering if any one had a solution.  Specifically, I am getting the following error message when trying to change a password:

ARERR [341] Cannot run the requested process

The preceding message occurred during the execution of active link BFS:USRPWD_ValidatePW14 -- action 1. (ARNOTE 1101)

I checked permissions all look good, nothing seems apparent.

I am running 6.3 without any patches installed.  Any guidance will be appreciated.  Happy fourth.

I believe thats the version I had downloaded before and used (I used the BFS_User+_v251.zip before).

I did figure out how to correct this error though.  The active link BFS:DEMO_ExpirePassword03_WEB was expecting that the Expire Password and zTmpLoginName fields from the Start form (that came from BFS) was on the home page.

I figured that out after reading later on in the instructions in the "If using Mid-Tier:" section when it mentioned copying the 2 fields to whatever the web start up form is.

Sure enough that after the copy I was able to run the import of the def file successfully.

However, after some more testing, I get an error on the 3rd Action on BFS:USRPWD_ValidatePW14 (a Set Fields action).

All I get is this:

ARERR [38] Filter/escalation 'set field' process returned an error

Do you have any ideas why?  Does this have to do with the MD5 executable?

We are looking to install the BFS Strong Password utility version 2.5.1 on our Remedy servers that were somewhat new with ARS 6.3 patch 13 installed (also will use Mid Tier 6.3 patch 13).

Once I was up to step 3 on the installation instructions and I attempted to import the bfs_user+_251.def, I received the following errors when importing:

Data types are not appropriate for relational operation:  (ARERR 313)
Field ID is not related to this form: 704050008 (ARERR 311)
Field ID is not related to this form: 704050008 (ARERR 311)
The following item was not imported: BFS:DEMO_ExpirePassword03_WEB (ARERR 55)
Field ID is not related to this form:  --  : 703050001 (ARERR 311)

I tried the import twice with no luck.
Anyone have ideas on what needs to be corrected?  Do I need to import the bfs_user+_25.def objects first?

Thanks
