Wow, your Incident install took 1 hour? My install took 6 hours on 1 server and 9 hours on another server. (It was the 1st app I installed in the ITSM suite, so therefore, Financial Management and all the other common apps had to be installed). I thought it hung, but fortunately I checked SQL activity, and it was busy creating records and objects, etc.
The good news is the successive app installs went way faster (1 to 2 hours each). Our hardware meets the min. requirements (barely). I began the install by backing up the database and truncating the trans. log. I also increased the trans. log file size. We're on Windows 2003 on a virtual machine (ESX server) & SQL 2000 on a remote server. I didn't see anything in the pre-reqs. about multi-threading settings. Where was that?
