Straight from Remedy's KB that they sent me this morning.
(Sorry they did not give a kb number with it.) The DSL is supposed to have
approx. 10,000 canned entries.
What is the Definitive Software Library?
A N S W E R
A: The Definitive Software Library (DSL) is a central repository of approximately 10,000 approved product dictionary entries. These entries are the ?master? names of the software applications. Any application that uses the DSL can specifically identify a single name for a software application and its versions, which in turn supports software license compliance.

Subject: Version 7.0 Sample Data
**
Hi, I just finished a CMDB, Service Desk and SLM installation, and I look
surprised that there is not sample data!
I don't select the DSL (definitive software library) in Incident and
Problem, because in another installation it spends a lot of time.
Is could be the reason? or ITSM v7 is sample less.
Is anyone have a sample info, I would appreciate it.
Thanks..
