Kevin, Every install I have made has been as the root user and converted over to a non-root user. On HPUX, I would just chown the <remedy install dir> and the /etc/arsystem and /etc/arinstall directories and it ran without any flaws. Just make sure you shut down all of your current ARS processes and then change the permissions.
