There are two parts to this.

1) As Lars pointed out you should use filters to verify that the data
exists in the transaction.

2) I also think it is a good practice to add active links to give the
user a clue about the dynamic condition too. I know in ARS v6.3 (not
sure about v6.0.1 but poke around and see if you can find what I am
talking about) the Change Field action has a way to alter the "Field
Font". However i am sure that you can change the Label Color in that
version.

Yes the filters are the "more important" of the two, but the Active
Links will help your users more. :) Keeping the two sets of logic "in
sync" is a chore. Not to mention the need to also build Active Links
that "undo" such changes when the user alters the Category to the "Oh
yea.. I really meant <bla> not <ble>" conditions too.

Hope that helps.

Hi,

Mid-tiers 6.03

I have an optional field.
But if my users choose a certain category, I'd like the field to become
requiered.
Any idea/suggestion/solution on how to do this ?
Thanks
