Tony,
If you have that old of a version of ServiceCenter, you should also have a copy of Connect-It somewhere. Peregrine gave it to all their customers back then. The version you mentioned are the ones that were around the year that PRGN owned Remedy. They updated connect it to have a Remedy connector as all "Peregrine" products use Connect-It to talk to each other. If you version of Remedy is too new, you might have to find some Remedy v5 dlls to get Connect-It to to talk to 7. If that doesn't work, you could use Connect-it to export to CSV. If you can't find the old copy of Connect-It contact me off list. I might be able to track one down as your company would have legally had access to it.

Subject: Exporting from ServiceCenter?

Does anyone out there have experience exporting data from HP/Peregrine ServiceCenter to a format usable by Remedy Import (or vendor forms, whatever.)

I'm not at all familiar with ServiceCenter, but it sounds as if the data is stored in a proprietary P4 database and one of the only ways to get at it is through a process called "shadowing" where the data is copied into an rdbms  -- and the mapping has to be manually created and the tables/columns mapped.

Unfortunately we have no support, nor do we have access to the servicecenter kb/faq/downloads etc.

If it matters, we're at version 4.0 of the apps, and 5.1 of the binaries.

Any suggestions?

fun fun,
tony
