Stephen,

What is it that you do not understand about the process of creating a web service?

Are you having a problem with any part of the creation of the serivice? Since you say you are new to it, I just thought I'd ask if you have installed the WSDL libraries necessary to be installed at the time of installing the AR Server before you attempt to create any web services.

Do write back with a little more information on where you are failing to create the web service so we here would know where exactly you need help.

There are tools that might be useful to check the web service you create after you have created them.. I used one such tool called Soap Sonar.. There is a free trial version that you could download for a one time use..

Cheers

Subject: Creating 'opGet' and 'opGetList' webservices

All,

I'm trying to create a couple of WebServices that will allow us to expose a remedy form via a webservice so that an external application can query remedy via the webservice to retrieve records...

I'm having some problems understanding how to define a webservice to perform this function, we've got 'create' operations running fine just the queries left.

I've been through the ARS 7.0 Integrating book and it's still not much clearer :(

Any pointers or advice on this would be much appreciated.

Stephen.
