Great pictures Phil .... brings back fond memories of the arslist event ... was a fun time with great laughs.  Pick on the singing all you want, it was fun !  Thanks to Dan for organizing the event and of course minding the store continually.

This RUG was a return to what I was looking for from the past.  The technical knowledge provided at times made your head spin but it gave you lots of ideas you want to do.  It was the 'puppy-upper' it used to be.  And thank goodness because my attitude going in wasn't the best and I needed it to be the 'old' way.  Not against change, I inflict enough of it on others willingly, but somethings are good the way they were.

Thanks to bmc for listening to our concerns from the last few years and working hard to bring back a week where you learned things you could use.  Well, at least things that should provide some interesting arslist conversations once we try to do data visualization fields among a few other things!  The mix of speakers was great along with their topics.  I never once had the feeling I was being 'sold' something ... which is totally unnecessary since we are already sold!

I am actually looking forward to next year's event.  I am now looking forward to trying again to upgrade my dev server to version 7 which has been a saga over the last 3 weeks.  I want to try some of the new things.  I'm not looking forward to redoing all my macro driven report buttons (yikes).  Although in some respects you always look forward to what will be released in the next version, maybe this slight stop at v7 is necessary.  We got behind, now we will catch up ... take a breath and really spend some time learning the ins and outs of it all.

Thanks to all of you attendees for making it a fun time too.  See you next year .... talk to you in between.

Congratulations to Axton, well deserved ARSlist Award winner.  James and Rick, we're counting on your continued efforts also.  You three and others make us all think about what we're doing, how we're doing it, and how we could be doing it !

Ummmm ... next year's location ... I guess even the influence of Hawaiian shirts wouldn't make us lucky enough to have that venue.  But to be honest, it really doesn't matter where it is I'm still looking forward to it.

Thanks for a great time everyone,
Susan

For those interested, I put a couple dozen photos of the ARSList awards at http://www.bullcreek.com/BUW but beware (those with small download speeds) these are NOT thumbnails and I haven't had the time to make a nice page with anything other than simple links.  I did try to give the images a meaningfull title.

Warning: there are old men in Hawaiian shirts in many photos...
