Did you check the ITSM 7.0 Install Guide ? pg 50 (Chapter 2) If you are installing from the BMC Product Distribution Center
a) Change to the working directory containing the Assignment Engine files you downloaded from the BMC Product Distribution Center, then uncompressed. b) From that directorys root, run the installation script, ae_install. 2) At the Enter the Product Directory prompt, type the path to assignEngine.tar. 3) When the installation script asks you to provide the AR System server name, type the name of the AR System server on which Assignment Engine is meant to run. 4) At the confirmation prompt, press ENTER to accept the AR System server name. 5) When the installation script asks you to specify the directory where AR System server is installed, press ENTER to accept the default path, or type an alternative path. 6) At the confirmation prompt, press ENTER to accept the AR System server path. 7) When the installation script asks you to supply a valid AR System Administrator ID, type the administrators login ID for the AR System to which you want Assignment Engine to connect. 8) At the confirmation prompt, press ENTER to accept the ID. 9) At the password prompt, type the password associated with the AR System Administrators ID that you provided in step 8. 10) At the prompt asking for the Assignment Engine installation path, press ENTER to accept the default installation path. Or, if you want to install to a different path, type N, press ENTER, then type the different path name. 11) When prompted to restart the AR System daemon, press ENTER to restart the daemon now, or type n to skip the daemon restart. Note: Restarting the AR System daemon is necessary to make use of Assignment Engines functionality. If you skip the daemon restart now, make sure you restart it manually, later.
