** Doing the same thing here as Dan, works like a charm.

The reason some emails pull an image from the server is so they can collect stats on the open rate of a mass mailing. I am also the admin of a mass mailing system (members specifically elect to receive these emails so it is not spam) and if a email template is configured to track the open rate on a mailing it will send a link to a white 1x1 pixel image on the server. Included in that URL is the mailing ID and/or some identifying info on the user which is captured in the db when the URL is called. The only way the user would know that this image exists is if they are warned by their email app that there is an image to download or if they look at the HTML.

To add a template to an email with graphics add it's simple for the most part.

1. Create the HTML template (I use direct links to my graphics and when adding them to the system it will change to the proper link.)

2. Open the AR System Templates form, Template format= HTML attach the HTML file to the attachment field ( I then click on the Template Name this will auto fill in DO NOT CHANGE THE NAME.)

Then click on the Template Attachments tab.

3. Click on Add Attachment and the AR System Email Attachments will open, add your graphic file here and leave the type field as Template, (Click on the Attachment Name and this will auto fill in for you DO NOT CHANGE.)

When you save this it will bring you back to the AR System Templates form, refresh the table to view the Template attachment and then save.

Now the Template and graphic will be sent in the same email.

Now update the filter that sends out the email.

ARSystem 6.03.00 Patch 17

ITSM 6.0

Email server is GroupWise

Our group is just starting to explore the email engine and want to be able to use the templates. We have solved most of the issues, but can seem to get the graphics to appear in the email. They are showing up as attachments.

Is there something in the configuration we need change so the pictures will show up in the proper location?

Thanks
