Title: RE: Mid-Tier 7.0 Installation Problem
** **

Yes – I have just downloaded the servletexec and I am going to install myself.  I am starting to think that our dba’s didn’t install something execatly right --  also they didn’t install java in the /usr/java directory – it is in /usr/lib/jvm – and the SDK’s are in /etc/alternatives/java – so this may be a problem also.

Pam:

I did not encounter this problem when I did an install on Apache/Tomcat.  Are you trying to install ServletExec?

My DBA's say there isn't.  But, Jarl gave me a good idea - update the install script of the servlet to check for the correct version - in the download it looks for 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3 but nothing greater so it fails everytime.

Now I am having problem updating the file.  It is embedded in a .tar file - which we updated and retar the file.  But, then when you run the installation program it fails because we modified the tar file.
