On Windows, you might end up w/ a structure that looks like this: C:\Program Files\AR System\ARS6\arserver1 C:\Program Files\AR System\ARS6\arserver2 C:\Program Files\AR System\ARS6\arserver3 C:\Program Files\AR System\ARS7\arserver4 C:\Program Files\AR System\ARS7\arserver5 C:\Program Files\AR System\ARS7\arserver6
When you are going through the installation process, you may set up 1 server instance to use PortMapper... all others must use a specific TCP port for connections. Also, the installation will ask you if you wish to install the current instance as a 'shared' installation (where it shares a database with another instance), or if it is a stand-alone. It can get kind of... interesting... to manage. :) I've got one Windows 2003 server with 7 or 8 ARS installations. Some are 6.3 and others 7.0. Some are using a remote oracle 10g database and others are using remote sql server 2000 and sql server 2005 databases. Strangely enough, it's a very stable server! :-) Good luck! " In this case you mean Remedy ARS install in c: and the other one in d:, OK multiple databses you mean db2, SQL, Sorry but like I said i'm confused thanks ____________________________________________________________________________ ___ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at http://www.wwrug.org _______________________________________________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at http://www.wwrug.org
