Rick, Uh.. er... conversion of what?
The point of a DVF (Data Visualization Field) is to provide a general framework for a graphical display of data. (Which sounds like Flashboards on steroids to me. :) I just poked around a v7 admin tool and this is what I see... A "Flashboard" field still exists. But it looks like a DVF that is pointed at an "internal" module called "Flashbard". (Go figure) I would guess that there is no "work" to be done to upgrade/translate a v6.3 Flashboard into a v7 Flashboard. (But I could be severely over estimating the support that BMC has for Flashboards too. Look at what they did to "convert" from v2 to v5 of Flashboard. ... NOTHING. However, this shift feels a lot smaller than the shift from v2 to v5 was to me.) -- Carey Matthew Black Remedy Skilled Professional (RSP) ARS = Action Request System(Remedy) Love, then teach Solution = People + Process + Tools Fast, Accurate, Cheap.... I don't know if they've chosen to ignore it as much as re-architect it. Remember that in 7.0, there are no more FB fields - they are Data Visualization fields. This is just me talking, but I'm looking for something to help us leverage those more by year end. I dunno what - a conversion utility would be nice. So I think the energy is going to the new architecture rather than the old. Not saying it's right or wrong, just likely. Rick
