I use excel a lot when I use remedy import, I just tchange the file to a .txt instead of a .cvs before I open it in excel.  It takes care of that problem becuase when you open a text file in excel, you need to say what each column is (ie text or number). I just select all as text.

If you already have an existing excel sheet with leading zeros removed: Select the column, right-click and select Format Cells, select Custom and type 000000000000000 in the Type box. Then click OK and export as .csv.

Yes I am using Remedy Import tool.

I tried that and still doing the same thing. By the way I just checked the csv file converted from Excel file and all preceding 0's has been removed.  I am thinking that could be the problem, is there anyway to prevent the 0s from being eliminated?
