Title: RE: Merges Vs. Submit and Modify for Filters

Lisa:

Is the record a new record or an existing record?  The reason I ask this is the commit to the database will be done AFTER your push of data for a new record.

Subject: Merges Vs. Submit and Modify for Filters

**

I have a "History" form that gets updated whenever Form A is changed.
The filter is activated on Merge, Submit and Modify and pushes the fields to the History form.
When I do a Submit or Modify on the form, the fields that are changed are pushed to the History form without any problems.

When I do an import ("Merge" action on the Filter), I get the error message "Required field cannot be reset to a NULL value -- Equipment List History : Serial Number (ARERR 326)"

I'm pushing the Serial Number field to the History Form for every change and it is a required field on the History Form.

When I disable the filter, the import runs fine.  (yes, the serial number field is NOT Null on Form A)

Why is the import trying to reset this field to NULL?

Thanks in advance!

Lisa
