Title: RE: Entry Id Prefix (default value 0000017) is creating Problem in SHR:Assignment form.

Tarun:

If I remember correctly, the entryID field for the SHR:Assignment field is 15 characters in length, longer than what you need.  Maybe you need workflow in the middle that pads the field so that it has seven characters.  This would require the use of the LPAD feature with a '0' and 7.  I don't have access to my server as it is being used for other purposes, but the workflow guide is definitely your friend here.

Subject: Entry Id Prefix (default value 0000017) is creating Problem in SHR:Assignment form.

Hello,

We have a need to set some default value of entryid field in SHR:Assignment form with atleast 7 characters. e.g. 0000017. We  tried this at our end and saved SHR:Assignment form. But while inserting a ticket in HPD:Helpdesk form, process of selecting  a group for a ticket searches the data(group etc by skills filters) from SHR:Assignment form and at this time it is giving  ARERR 305 :

"Next available ID produces a request ID that overflows Request ID field-contact the administrator."

Though the submission is possible on SHR:Assignment form with default value.
We again removed the default value and tried again; it works. In fact shorter length of default value also works. But our  need is to set atleast 7 characters for default value.

So, please suggest how can we set the default value with 7 characters in entryid field of SHR:Assignment form. Is there any  way to avoid this error or to set increase the length of default value without any problem ?

Regards,
Tarun
