Its true, in most scenarios, that you may not need and probably should not have different variations of the manufacturer name but might be useful in rare situations when you need (like we do) a product that needs to be categorized over 2 different tiers. And since the Product Name/Manufacturer combination is unique, you can get around this problem by having a variation of the manufacturer name but can still keep the product name same.
