Interesting... I don't have a 7.0.1 server to test on and your comment about the 7.0.1 client working that way with a 6.x server makes me ask:
Is there a setting in the admin tool that allows you to set whether or not the (clear) option shows up for any given (drop-down/char) menu, or is it always forced?
This was an enhancement request that some previous co-workers and I had put in a while back, although our variation included a checkbox in the admin tool to indicate if you wanted the (clear) or not. I'm glad to see it finally made it.

Yep, that's a neat one. And it doesn't depend on the server version - a 7.0.01 user tool client will show the (clear) option even when talking to a 6.x server.
