That's interesting. Looking at the compat. matrix again, the only
things recommended for XP are the user interfaces (WUT, Admin Tool and
Browsers). In fact, the Remedy WUT is shown as being compatible only to
the XP environment. I hope we complete our desktop conversion soon...

Thanks,

Bruce

Subject: Re: Microsoft OS version for ARS 7

**

I currently have a copy of ARS 7.0 server running on Windows XP Home
Edition. Obviously, the Mid-tier won't work (no web server) but ARS
runs just fine. If it runs on XP, it should run on 2000. However, I
think I remember seeing something that required 2003 for part of the 7.x
suite - can't remember if it was MT or ITSM.

Hello All,

After reading all of the documentation I can get my hands on, I find
that
there is some conflicting information regarding the base operating
system
for the Microsfot Windows environment and ARS 7.x.

Nearly everything I read states that if you are building ARS 7.x on a
Microsoft server, the version of Microsoft Server needs to be 2003.
However, the latest version of the compatability matrix shows that ARS 7

products can be built onto a Microsoft Windows 2000 Server platform.
Has
anyone built ARS 7.0 or ARS 7.0.1 on a Windows 2000 Server yet?

Thanks,
