Jason, I have a .def file from a known good 5.1.2/HD 5.5 server (heavily customized), and I need to Migrate that file to a new destination server. The two servers should be mirror images (from the OS up) with the exception of form data.
The migration was successful with the exception of the forms listed earlier (plus a few DO forms; Remedy Requester-New Request, etc.), some menus (no suprise here since forms failed), and a handful of filters. My attempt to import those forms individually via the admin tool also failed, hence the posting here (parts 1 and 2) with the attendant errors. Clean up is not an option, and new views were not added (as suggested by Jennifer-thanks). I'm working on getting a second computer so I can see both systems concurrently (the production system is not available to me). I know that I can install multiple AR servers, but can't do at this point in the project.
