Marc,

We use this functionality with our 6.3 server using Mid-Tier. We use
this with our Help Desk Surveys. The URL is encoded in a manner that
sets a hidden field on a Display only form. An Active Link fires when
the form is displayed that retrieves a title and the questions for that
particular survey based on the value set in the hidden field. The URL
also includes a login, blank password and Ticket Number that is saved
with the Survey.

Here is example of encoded URL:

Subject: Setting a field from a URL

**

All,

I am trying to set a field on a display only form from a URL.

I have a display only form with a hidden field and a table. I would
like to send my users an email that they click that will bring them to
this display only form and set the hidden field with a value. This
value is dynamic so I can't hard code it into the field, and everyone
that gets the email may not have a Remedy account. We will use a
generic login to process these requests. One suggestion I was given
would be to build the url in hidden fields from the HTML email that is
sent, but I don't see how that could set the field.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks
