Boy howdy - that really blows...

Issue resolved - thanks to all for your help and suggestions....

The Cause - 4 table views. Lots of records each of the schemas - each schema
has a new field - new field blank - each table view was pulling back all
record sets.

Resolution - update each table qualification to exclude field that is blank.

There is no issue in development because the record sets are smaller...

Thanks,

**
I have disable all the workflow - all (new and old).
Looked at all of the tables to ensure server name is correct.
I have no indexing on the schema. (both the production server and
development)

I'm starting to pull out my hair here......very frustrating....

Eric,

Some additional ideas come to mind

            1. Could be some funky active links - did you
create/modify AL's for the enhance form? If so disable them

            2. I have also seen weird things (like this) happen if
there is a table field on the form that somehow has the fully qualified
server name (instead of short name)

3. Double check the indexing on the enhanced form (rebuild in
needed)

Doug

If I run the query in Query Analyzer - no there are no more records. I get
the same amount of records back with no hanging come back within a couple of
seconds where as the client takes several minutes....

Something in the API? or defunct workflow?

How do I go about taking this down?

** Does the same thing happen if you run the query directly against the
database (Query Analyzer)?
Are you sure there are only 2500 records?

Morning,

I am having an odd issue. I implemented some new functionality today on my
production server. The implementation contains several new forms and some
updates to existing forms. The issue is on one of the existing forms several
new fields have been added. Some of these fields are no required and do not
have data in them. The database holds about 2500 records. The issue is if I
run a simple query i.e. = status = active. It takes several minutes and
causes the client to stop responding. Once the record set comes back, if I
attempt to look at another record the stop responding this happens again.
This does not happen on the development server and only happens on the
"enhanced" schema.

There is nothing in the error logs.

I am running ARSystem 5.01.02 on a Windows 2000 server with SQL Server 2000.

Any ideas on how or what might the issue be?
