You can force the Changes and Tasks to keep there IDs on the
import and this will keep the relationship in tact Map the Request ID to
Request ID and on the duplicate ID tab in the import tool set to either
replace or upgrade duplicates.

Subject: Importing records for Change Management from one server
to another

        **
I am in the process of importing Change Records from our 4.5
server to our 5.1.2 server. With Change Management I need to import both
change requests and related tasks. When importing the change requests
the new records adopt the nextid for the change form by default. This is
fine but when I import the CHG:Task records the link is lost. Is there a
way to preserve or link to the new ChangeID+ on the new system?
        Thanks
