7.0 is officially supported in a Virtual environment. 6.3 would work however if you had any question for BMC support you could not get any answers. You need the new licenses since the CMDB, Incident, Problem and Chnage application cannot be loaded unless the Application licenses are already loaded. - How long did the whole implementation take? except for problems encountered during the install on a dual 3.8 GHz system with 6GB of ram less than 8 hours. If you do not install the DSL you save at least an hour. The one gotcha is that the email engine needs to be set to manual start so that when the installation re-starts the ARS service it does not try to restart the email engine. - Were there unexpected difficulties? Things I should watch out for? The client did not want to use sa to set up the database they wanted a domain user. THis will not work since it is a known bug. watch your install order especially incident before problem - What about post implementation, any unforeseen problems with the system? The configuration is drastically different that learning the new procedures are going to be time consuming.
