Hi Rafael,
Thanks for your response. This is the inconsistent doc I was referring to. When you run the installer from a separate machine it never gets to the selection screen for Web Services as it says “cannot be installed” for a remote server. I am going to try to install it on the server itself and then move it to another machine. See documentation link https://docs.bmc.com/docs/brid/1805/installing-bmc-atrium-core-web-services-components-813429826.html * You cannot install BMC Atrium Web services directly in a server group. BMC recommends to install BMC Atrium Web Services on a separate machine and then configure it for the server group. When 1805 was installed, CMDB Core was installed but CMDB Web Services was not. It turns out BMC said it wasn't needed but apparently, it is. The doc says NOT to install Web Services on the same box as the Remedy server, but when I run the installer on another box, (the mid-tier box) it never gets to the product selection screen because of an error: "Product cannot be installed for a remote AR server". Any clues or documentation URLs on how I can install the CMDB Web Services ? (especially doc not in conflict with the installer) Cheers Ben Chernys www.softwaretoolhouse.com <http://www.softwaretoolhouse.com> -- ARSList mailing list [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> https://mailman.rrr.se/cgi/listinfo/arslist
