They are using only POP3. I will check the logs and see if somethings "pops" 
out...

I have seen these .tmp files in the file system on Windows when using MAPI for 
email. I don't specifically remember if they were being uploaded to the 
attachments form with that name (although thinking a little more, I have a 
picture in my mind that there were some attachment records with this name).
I always figured it had more to do with using Outlook for MAPI than the Email 
Engine.

It is a legacy system that has been under decommission for some time, so it is 
still at 7.6.04 SP4...
