FULLY SUPPORTED VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS
VMWare(r)
> ESX Server
Sun Microsystems SolarisTM
> Solaris 10 Zones(2) (Whole Root and Sparse)"

If your environment is listed under Partially Supported, you are
correct. If your environment is listed under Fully Supported, then the
environment is supported by BMC as much as any other operating
environment would be supported. In other words, if the problem you are
encountering is with the VM itself, you'd need to contact the VM vendor.
However, issues found within AR System would be supported in a manner
consistent with issues occurring within a physical environment.

Just wanted to mention that BMC does support AR System and ITSM in
specific virtual environments as defined in the Statement of
Direction/Product Change Notice available on Support Central:

http://www.bmc.com/products/documents/68/66/66866/66866.pdf

This support was first added (and therefore tested) in AR System 7.x.

I attempted to stand up a Virtual box using VMWare 2.x and was not very
successful. I ran into a lot of time out issues and decided it was not
worth the trouble after learning that BMC does not support Virtual
environments.

Okay so we have a virtual server farm, running VMWare 2.x. ARS 7.0.1
running as a virtual server. We are using ITSP 4.0 application 1 CPU,
3.6 GB RAM.

On average with an 80 user load we are looking at about 30 - 50 second
inserts

I have never seen performence this bad.

I am womdering if anyone has been using a virtual environment with
remedy successfully with user loads of 80 and higher

Help!
