...getting ready to install patch 20 for ARS Server v6.3 (SQL Server, W2K3) on
a dev server.

Because the Installer also modifies forms I prefer copying the new files
instead when installing patches. I submitted a RFE last year so that we have
the option of _only_ installing patched files and not alter any forms or
workflow. I shake my head when I think of these installers.

What files are missing from the bin and lib folders (from supportweb) for patch
20? From the "Patch 20 - Install Issues" thread this month, is DWMAPI.DLL the
only missing one? Are there any brand new files (appearing for the first time
in patch 20) - if so, which folders would they go in?

I am thinking that I may need to install patch 20 using the Installer on a new
computer, then copy the files to the dev server.

Hi, Robert:

Same environment, but still on ARS 6.3 Patch 18 (Windows 2003, SQL Server 2000):

Thank you for this information. If I were you, I would definitely report this
to Tech Support as soon as humanly possible. Don't forget the all import logs.

We're about to embark on upgrading our Dev environment to ARS 6.3 patch 20 in
the next couple of days. Did you upgrade ALL components, including the email
engine? Did you upgrade using file replacement or the installer? What patch
were you on before 19 or 20 were applied?
Inquiring minds want to know.

I'm sorry that I don't have anything to offer, yet. We will also post to the
list if we run into any issues.

Thank you again for sharing this,
Michelle

Hello list,

ARServer 6.3 p20
Win2k3
MS SQL

since installation of patch 19 or 20, we fave the following issues :

- Escalation Notify Emails do not include all fields at HTML templates anymore
(doesnt matter if some fields are selected or all fields is selected)
(filter notifications work fine)

- Open Window -> Dialog -> Web View Form -> in User client does not work
anymore
(either a totally different windows view is being opened, or the view is being
opened in the background)
(tested with client patch 15, 19, 20 and with 7.0.01)
(it works however again with our test server which is 7.0.01)

Has anyone experienced something similiar ?

Thanks, Robert

Mit freundlichen Grüssen
