Adding it to the path did not change anything. I'm guessing it knows
where the bin directory is anyway because it asks for:
What is the ORACLE home directory?
[/u01/app/oracle/product/10.1.3/OracleAS_1]

Here's what did work though. Since I could connect to the database
remotely, I just ran it like it was remote and answered Y to the
question: "Is the ORACLE database on a remote machine?"

I haven't tested anything yet, but this way the install at least
appeared to finish, created the tablespaces, etc.
