The script was running as the Demo user, but that may not be correct since most of the application permissions in ITSM 7 are applied to the appadmin account, NOT to Demo. Both accounts are administrators, so if that is all that is required it should not matter, but I will retry it with appadmin.
I am loading the ITSM 7 applications as applications, the SHR:OverviewConsole as a from within the Foundation Elements application, and then all of the main ticket/request/error/solution forms as forms - the current version takes 30 minutes to load! BMC Remedy Support states that I should be prefetching each object in the same context (URL) as the ITSM 7 application calls it, but I have not decide to do their job for them and reverse engineer all of the paths being used by the application. I would understand that if it was my custom application, but that should be provided with a packaged app. Christopher Strauss, Ph.D. Remedy Database Administrator University of North Texas Computing Center http://remedy.unt.edu/helpdesk/ -----Original Message----- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Kern, Robert SBA Sent: Monday, February 19, 2007 2:13 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Remedy 7 Performance Inquiry Thank you for the report ... appreciated. Just curious ... have you tried/is your prefetch user member of the Administrator group ? >From my understanding all groups are cached, if using an admin user. Other then that what is important at our environment, that we need to configure each locale used. Meaning we have to repeat the whole <user></user> part with every locale (en_US, de_DE, and so on). In addition we use dummy applications at our servers (prefetch file is using 2 servers at the moment) and put/remove single forms over there (by just adding the application at the file, without any form named, alle forms of the application are cached). So far the response from the field is good (escpecially increased performance from Mexico ... servers are at Germany). But we just recently started using prefetch... let's see.
