ARS 6.x will not install on SQL Server 2005 - ARS 7.x is the first
installer that works with SQL 2005. I did have a 6.3 test system up that
I upgraded from 2000 to 2005 at the database level, and it worked for
the duration of that test, but the SQL Server itself was a bit odd after
the upgrade - refuse to accept replication from the SQL 2000 publisher.
Personally, I would never want to put a combination of AR server and db
server into production that I could never run an upgrade installer
against.

Subject: ARS 6.0.1 & MSSQL 2005

Is anyone running ARS 6.0.1 on a MSSQL 2005 database sucessfully. Any
issues or cautions to watch out for? I know that its not documented on
the compatability matrix. I was hoping to get a feel for what has been
done by others out there.

Thanks,
Brian Keith
