I've tried what you've suggested - and STRSTR is returning a -1 for no value found. I've tried the following: STRSTR($Character Field$, LTRIM( " \n")) STRSTR($Character Field$, " \n") STRSTR($Character Field$, LTRIM( " <CR>")) STRSTR($Character Field$, " <CR>") After you mentioned that this had been "talked about" before on the list, I changed my search criteria and found a few threads - it seems that the way Remedy handles carriage returns may actually be version specific. We are on ARS 7.0.01 Patch 001. Wonder if this has some bearing?
