Hey Stephen,

I'm not sure what your end result you want, but I have a bunch of SQL like
this on my app a Quick Search. You can download it at:

http://www.geocities.com/stephenlumini/quicksearch.html

That version is meant for ARS 5.1.2 / Oracle 9+, but I have another 3/4 done
one for MSSQL db's, as well (CASE IF instead of DECODE, etc). I am
improving it right now, and will post a newer version eventually.

Alot of the SQL is straightforward, and is forward compatible (remedy
doesn't change how/where it stores Field DB names, for example) - feel free
to grab whatever is useful.

If you have any questions, just ask.

Stephen,

You can do this.
You use the same kind of syntax as you would to reference a local
field in a Search Menu qualification.

I actually stumbled into an OOB menu that did this before I realised
it could be done. I never went looking for this "feature" in the
docs, but it appears to work as you would expect it to work.
