Michelle, As shocking as this might seem (maybe not shocking nowadays with BMC Support) we had run through trials of installing patch 20 for Flashboards and encountered the same problems (although we don't have drill down setup on our flashboards). We escalated a ticket with BMC on it and after weeks of communicating with them about it they finally found out (or maybe fessed up) with the following:
"...You do not need to install FB to fix a problem with DST. I mentioned in a prior eMail that the FAQ stated that you should upgrade all the components so that they were on a consistent patch level. But the FB patch does not have any defect fixes; including for DST. If you do not install FB patch 20, you will not encounter DST issues with FB. The only reason I can see for applying the patch is because of this note in the DST Tech Bulletin: Q. Is the BMC Remedy User executable affected? Do I have to really re-distribute BMC Remedy User to all my users to correct this DST issue? A. Only the mid tier and server executables contain DST fixes. However, BMC does not recommend applying only a portion of a provided patch. Customers loading the 6.03 Patch 020 or 7.0.01 Patch 001 are strongly encouraged to install the patches in their entirety...." As a workaround to the service disappearing, you can install the flashboards patch again and the service should reappear. Im not sure if the reinstall will fix the drill down issue though.
