Good point.  Everyone here uses a preference server. Your approach would
work in either situation.

That will only alter the TZ setting for users who use the preference
server. For those User Tool users who do not use a preference server
then their settings are in their local ar.ini file. And the method that
I suggested would work for those users as well as those that use a
preference server.
