Kevin,

The data is stored in the User Preference form (if the user is using a
preference server) and likely in the local ar.ini if they are not) in
the field 'Table Field Column Width'.

It looks like the data structure is:

<ARSServer>|<ARS form>|<TableField_FieldID>|<Column_FieldID>=width_value

If you set the width_value to zero then the column disappears in the
table field.

You likely will need to have the column visible to start with.
Your users will have to login AFTER you muck with there record in the Pref form.

HTH.

In ITSM 7 you can add/remove columns from a table and save your preferences
by user. Is that stored in a form in Remedy or in an ini. I have logged
it and can't seem to find where it is stored. I would like to add like 5
columns, but make them all hidden by default and then allow the users to add
them if they want. I can't seem to find a way to do this. I can add the
columns as visible to the table and then the user removes them, but that
isn't what we want.

Just to be clear, I know how to add a column as hidden to a table, but under
table preferences from the User Tool, hidden columns will not be in the list
of columns I can add to the table. I want to add columns to the table that
don't appear in the table by default, but when the user selects preferences,
add column, the column names will appear in there to add.

Am I missing something simple here or this just can't be done?

Thanks
Kevin
