I would not recommend the class at all. I took it and spent three days just doing the installs. The lecture was not in line with what we were doing the lab's on as the installers took forever to complete. And this is with brand new machines with 4GB's of memory. The class was geared for someone that needs their hand held during an install. Plus, it was all Windows based installs, which does nothing for someone that runs Solaris and Sybase. The course material consists of two thick books. We ended up doing the last book in 1 1/2 days. I wanted more "config" than installing. We did not have any time to "see what this does" in the lab. They need to have this class broken up into two different classes. If they want to continue to do it this way, then they need to somehow "fake" the installs by doing it via a flash program, and have the products already installed on the system. Applying the DSL data took a 1 1/2 days! I know, not on your topic of getting people to go to the class, but I would save your money for another class.
