Well BMC support were of some actual help today, it appears that we had two email engines processes running at the same time. Apparently, the process didn't stop when we attempted to stop the email engine, and got hung up. Go figure. Now we are getting just single messages.

Yep, I haven't seen to much help on the issues I have submitted during our upgrade process.

Thanks

Great! I'll forward this to our exchange guy to investigate. He was sure the problem was on Remedy end but so far we havent found anything wrong in the back ground. Thanks. Also Kyle, we also have a ticket open with Remedy support for over a week now and so far they have been no help. Good luck with them though.

I ran into this before and after we combed through the AR Email
Engine and subsequent process, we could not find anything
different. We start a conversation with our Exchange Admin about
possible Exchange issues and it ended up being a bug in Exchange
5.5 as listed in the KB entry below. Not sure what version of
Exchange you use, but this may help you in your research.
Here are a couple of KB entries from http://support.microsoft.com
<http://support.microsoft.com/> that explain how users can receive
    multiple messages
(266371) *Exchange 5.5* Users in Distro. lists can receive
    multiple messages
(329043) - *Exchange 2000* A secondary SMTP mail recipient may
receive duplicate e-mail messages in a mixed Microsoft Exchange
    Server organization
(304122) - *Exchange 2000* If you send an e-mail message to a user
who is a member of a distribution list and you include that same
distribution list in the Cc box, the user may receive duplicate
    e-mail messages.
895857) - *Exchange 2003* Describes issues that may occur when a
computer that is running Exchange Server is behind a firewall and
the firewall affects the flow of SMTP mail. ... Duplicate e-mail
messages are sent to a recipient
(159181) - Messages sent to Microsoft Mail recipients through the
Microsoft Exchange Internet Mail Connector (IMC) can result in
    duplicate messages
Don't be too impress, my Wife is an Exchange Admin and sent me
    these entries.
