One thing to check... Are you sure you have installed and are pointing
to the 32 bit Oracle 10g client?

Remedy is a 32 bit app so it requires the 32 bit Oracle client (even on
a 64 bit system)

Subject: libclntch.sl - Remedy 7.01 patch 2 install fails on HP 11.31
(IA64) with Oracle 10gR2

**

We are attempting to install Remedy 7.0.1 patch 02 on a new server (HP
Integrity rx2620), the configuration is:

HP UX 11.31 (HP11i (v3)) with Oracle 10gR2.

On a non root installation Remedy errors with the message
/usr/lib/dld.sl - cannot find $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libclntsh.sl.10.1 and
aborts the installation. The file does not exist on the system and
according to Oracle, it does not exist on an install on an IA64
architecture. If I link libclntsh.sl to libclntsh.sl.10.1, the
Remedy installation fails but the error message is invalid shared
library libclntsh.sl.10.1.

Is there a solution to this installation issue? Would there be a hot
fix/patch/workaround available to resolve this problem.

Any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Regards,

Norm Dignard
